Teenage pregnancy is a pregnancy in girls whose age is 19 years old or younger. The studies shows conducted by the world bank beginning 2000 and reported in 2003, the Philippines is among the top 10 countries with an increasing number of teenage mothers. Seven out of 10 Filipino mothers are adolescents; most of them are below 19 years old, and in many cases, an unplanned pregnancy result to abortion. Abortion is an operation to end a pregnancy.

Why do Teenage pregnant choose to abort their child? Its because of the following reasons:

  1. The parents might get angry or disown her because she disappoint them.
  2. She is ashamed.
  3. She is unprepared for motherhood.
  4. The father of the baby is unwilling to take the responsibility.
  5. Her schooling may be affected.
Despite the risks, many teens prefer abortion. It is alarming to think of the extent pregnant teens can do to terminate their pregnancy. When the abort fail, some seek out abortionists who insert objects into their uterus to kill the baby which is very dangerous procedure that could introduce infection and cause profuse bleeding to the girl. The infection may spread to the pelvic organs, when the time came it requires the removal of the uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes causing the girl unable to bear a child anymore. The worse scenario is that, abortion could result into maternal death.

Why do teenage pregnancy is wide-spreading like a virus? Here are some of the reasons:
  1. Curiosity
  2. Easy access to porn movies through internet
  3. Poverty
  4. Friends influence
  5. Dating at private places
Abortion on the other hand, has moral and legal implications. Also the death rate from pregnancy complications is higher for 15 years old and younger.

We must bear in our mind that abortion is a SIN in the eyes of the people and especially to the eyes of GOD.

Remember this, "Do Not plant a SEED if you are not ready to CARE for it."
